Hold my hand, yeah yeah

Well, here's another dress I made a while ago - I was only waiting for my Topshop shoes to arrive to style those two pieces together. When I first saw these shoes, I was thinking "they have to get married to this dress!", and it proved to be so right. When we were taking these pictures, my sister agreed saying suddenly you notice millions of things that also fit to these clothes perfectly - colourwise.

I really don't know what else to say, still writing on my bachelor's thesis. Have to finish it these days to hand it next week.
I'm really boring recently, aren't I. But I'm so good these days, everything seems to go so well, makes me feel great.

Miss Moss for Topshop collection for AW 09/10 launches tomorrow. I'm broke, but still looking forward to her new pieces.

Have a lovely evening and lots of sunshine tomorrow!

Pretty in Green

prettygreenwallpaper1

I guess it's time I - even though obviously being a girl and this being a men's brand - give my humble opinion on Liam Gallagher's clothing line "Pretty Green". Old news that musicians give their try on designing clothes for their own label. Speaking JLo or our all time favourite range of American rappers. But I've been liking Liam Gallagher's sense of style for a long time now, disregarding the classic Umbro training suits from the mid-nineties for a moment. Frankly, Liam has developed an impaccable sense of style in the last decade, with a range from military-inspired jackets to anything slightly Mod, making us remember classic green parkas and the good old trench-coats.
I really like the idea that once you find that there is not much out there you really like to wear, you should get down and design it yourself. I even go one step further and make the clothes myself. But as Liam does, it's quite a good way to also give others the opportunity to wear what you'd really love to wear yourself.
So far, so good. Since I'm not in the position to say what the quality of his clothes is like, I won't give my opinion on that. I'm pretty sure, though, that Liam of all persons loves a great quality teeshirt, speaking good fabric, good craftsmenship etc. while making it look very simple and all at the same time.

But nonetheless, I must say the website is still lacking a lot of items in their stock lists. He's talking about shoes all the time in his videos, yet I have never seen any shoes for sale on [PRETTYGREEN.COM]. There might be a time when they add a lot more items to the page, but until then I must say that a handful of tees, polos, jumpers, hats and scarves is definitely not enough.

The one thing I'm truly in love with is the classic green parka, though. Liam and this parka are something like an item I think, they are just made for each other. I really wished that Liam would design a parka for the ladies, I'd be the first to get me one. Until then, I really think that if you feel that bit of swagger in you, get that parka as long as it's still available, it's all limited edition as it appears. I'm sure it's a piece of clothing for a lifetime.

Even if you're a girl, you should check out [PRETTYGREEN.COM] now, even if only for the great videos (including fabulous songs by Mr. Gallagher), some great photography or for having a closer look at this parka, haha.
I hope a lot more will be happening with Pretty Green, I think there's lot more to it than what we can find in the online-shop at the moment. Go for it, Liam, I wanna see more!

You will always be fond of me. I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit.

This is - basically - what I wore on thursday night. Thursday night was beautiful, I'll remember it as that forever, I guess. I feel like a fucking teenager again, haha.

I made this dress a while ago, but never found an occasion to wear it. But it's actually quite a lovely dress, very easy to wear and all. It's just so sweet that on said night I at least had to combine it with a black blazer, to rock it up a bit or something like that. Anyway, I'm happy that my sewing skills are improving more and more.
Shoes reminded me a slight bit of Marni, and I got them at Zara for the sale price, so I had no choice but to buy them. Even if I have no money to spend at the moment, I didn't really care.

Here's hoping I'll be able to post a bit more in the near future. But who knows... I wish you all a great new week!

It's been too long.

Holy moly, I haven't given my little baby blog enough attention at all during the last two-and-a-bit weeks... but hey, I'm not gonna apologize yet another time, it's my blog after all so I can decide how much I'm posting on here xD Anyway, I truly *hope* that I'll be up and running again sooner than I can say "Fire Walk With Me"... there's just too much stuff going on in my life right now to be able to keep you updated as much as you're all used to.
If anyone's interested, this is my plans only until Sunday evening! Tomorrow: writing on my uni thesis (especially finishing the literature list), cook lunch, keep on sewing my pullover (hey, Topshop got those Rodarte knock-off Jumpers in now, too, but they're also about €80 or so), watch at least one film or an episode of Carnivàle, hoover the bloody flat, do the washing, take a bath, then finally for the end of the day go on a date with an extremely gorgeous man - quite excited about that one.. uhm, yeah :)
Friday: meet with a Couchsurfer from New Zealand (wheeey!) but not sure when and where, go to the store to buy food, sew my pullover, hopefully write something for uni.
Saturday: go to Bremen for a family gathering since my grandma turned 80 the other day so we'll have to celebrate that (YAWNNN)... possibly we'll have dinner with an estimated 100 people at a Greek restaurant - the one where I only once ordered something Italian (pasta) and it was crap, so I'll stick with Gyros again :/
Sunday: probably get visited by a good good friend from Berlin, if so gonna tattoo him, then BBQ with him and my folks.
PHEW, so you see... kill me :D

P.S.: I'm gonna get me an officer's hat JUST like this one :D (NothisisnotanIrinafanpageYET)

P.P.S.: Sorry about the smileyyy overload, I'm too tired to bother about leaving them out right now ;)
