May the next year bring you and me love, good luck, money to dress us up in fun fabrics and shapes and shoes, a job in Ireland and a good grade in the bachelor's exam! 2008 was okay, 2009 can still be better!

Update from the cold east

After my mister could finally establish an internet connection, at least I'm able to update a bit here, however not with any fun styling photos of my humble self, because a) I wasn't allowed by Ryanair to carry a whole lotta things (clothing that is of course) with me to Serbia, and b) we don't have a USB-cable for the camera around anyway. But if I overlook that and the fact that it's constantly around minus (!!) 5 degrees here and moi is having a terrible cold, we're having a pretty good time.
So why not treating ourselves with a little post-Christmas Russian chic that Chanel offered us for their pre-fall 2009 show. Especially the head-jewellery I find fun, and of course the shoes with their Moscow and St. Petersburg architecture inspired heels.

Шапка

Today we had a sunny morning after long days of fog and rain, so my sister and I took a stroll round the neighbourhood, me wearing my H&M fake fur hat, H&M coat, vintage polka dot skirt worn as a dress, braided leather belt, H&M necklace, vintage indian scarf, H&M tights and Street sandals. It was quite chilly nonetheless... spring, where art thou???

Irina and Electric Feathers

Oh Irina, I love you, I adore you, you queen of the Beautiful!
Surprisingly, by searching for feathers on google pictures, I found a (to me) new set of Irina Lazareanu pictures, wrapped in pretty gorgeous dresses by Phillips de Pury under the concept name of "Electric Feathers". Not only is Irina very stunning in those photos, the clothes themselves are so good, I'd knew some pieces that I'd get for myself if they weren't THAT expensive, obviously.

Virginia Woolf was wrong...

...by saying that all a woman needs is "money and a room of one's own." In my humble opinion it should be more defined by saying "money and an accessible shoe closet". Shoes will eventually get me into financial ruin, but who'd not rather be too poor to buy even a loaf of bread and an apple and at the same time sitting on a 50 km high mountain of shoes?! Aye, right, nobody!
Oh today I got me into this financial desaster again... so I'd postponened the college books shopping again and instead gave me a treat with a pair of the most gorgeous TOPSHOP Gladiator Sandals. They should arrive in about 5 days but since I'll be on holidays at my bunny-love's place then, pictures with them on my feet will follow when I return in January. Oh the bliss!!

Sequin-selfmade

I really very badly wanted a sequin-leggins for so long, but in this darn village nobody ever seemed to feel the same, not even one of them fancy H&Ms or Zara-stores or whichever else... so I had to end this desaster, ordered two sequin fabrics online and started sewing me a blue leggins first. The trouble was that even though it said "stretchy jersey" on the fabric description, when I unpacked it I had to realize it was maybe a jersey, but not at all stretchy. I made the leggins nonetheless but they're not really as comfty as I'd have wanted em to be, so I decided to use the second sequin fabric not for the intended second pair of leggins, but for a freestyle-sequin dress.
Anyway, I was wearing the sequin leggins at college today; regardless of how uncomfortable they felt. But I enjoyed people staring at me in the weirdest way because of my pants. They don't look THAT weird, do they?

Because of my love for sequin fabrics, I sat down yesterday and stitched the two pieces of silver sequin to an old black summerdress and found out it looked actually pretty nice for some kinda groovy party. I can imagine a hundred things to add as accesories to this funky dress. I really kinda like it.

AND a while ago I already had a sewing-session that found its conclusion in a fun black ruffle-dress with a skirt that I made out of some kinda lining-fabric - also with a few cute sequins sewed on it. That dress is definitely one of my favourite recent selfmades:

Little red riding boots

Today I received a package from the "Japan fine foods shop" so that a pretty little kitsch Japanese lucky cat, or Maneki Neko, now waves her paw in my room, day and night. Ok, its not really THAT small and the waving of her hand is so loud that at least at night I'll have to remove the batteries from her golden belly. But she's so pretty, I'm in love!

And since it was so gloomy, rainy and cold outside today, I had to colour-up my dark outfit at least a bit. My selfmade summer-dress with the red-roses pattern plus my favourite pair of suede leather boots in the same red tried to accomplish this and - in my opinion - succeeded with it pretty nicely.
The leather-jacket I'm wearing is a second-hand finding from about 4 years ago but I never quite got to wear it since it was too big, but last weekend I changed it a bit so that it fits me quite okay now. (Please excuse my wannabe cutise pose in the pic, haha)

Tryin' to be a gentleman

Too good my sister owns this lovely bowler hat because more often than she actually wears it i steal it from her closet and wear it as if it was my own. Simply très chic, and the quality is stunning too. Only problem: It usually needs a lot of persuation powers to actually get it from her, but its absolutely worth it. Eventually, I'll get my own, when by miracle some money comes flying through my seldomely wide-opened window.
The fox fur-coat is actually pretty vintage as it used to belong to my Great-grandma who gave it to my Grandma who gave it to me last summer. I have another one but this is certainly my favourite, mostly because it keeps me warm like nothing else in these cold winter afternoons. Still I must admit I always feel a bit guilty wearing fur, especially since foxes are amongst my favourite animals, but I just also feel a bit guilty having it hung in my closet forver and not wearing it at all when it is the perfect way of not to freeze outside. I mostly arrange it for me by myself saying a little thank you to the animals that gave their fur for the coat everytime I wear it and feel grateful for the warmth they offer me. It sounds a bit ironic but its the only way I can accept it for myself. Beyond all that, it's simply beatiful and so nice to touch.
Together with that I'm wearing shiny H&M leggins, second hand knit longsleeve, second hand black rubber belt, H&M leather boots and the lovely suede leather bag <3 Photobucket

Second Hand Victory!

Ohhhh today I was so lucky, and since this doesn't happen too often I should really celebrate today's findings at the cheap turkish second hand shop 'round the corner. I went there, freezing and shivering even in my nice fur coat, but the little walk turned out to be totally worth it. I got hold of an absolutely stunning cotton oversized knitwear longsleeve, a cotton velvet coat in exactly my size in a fun brown/green pattern and a great Lacoste handbag made of real leather. You wouldn't believe me if I told you I only paid a total of € 15 for the three things, but I tell you, that's what you get when you're lucky in those kinda smelly dirty second hand shops in Le Hometown. The three things together also make a pretty good combination together with my fake snakeprint shiny leggins and H&M ankle boot tie-ups.

Such a rip-off!!!

Too many holes - that ain't possible!!! Thus, in a moment of mental disturbance, I got hold of me scissors and cut my good old H&M tights into bits... or to put it less dramatic, I kinda stylised them, heh!

Rock-chic[k]

For almost a year now I'm searching like a bunny for their herbs for a pair of studded leather boots since I fell in love with the Gucci peeptoe studded ankle boots as to be seen on the worlds runways this year... but NADA! Still waiting for H&M or ZARA to design an affordable AND beautiful pair of sexy studded ankle boots for le rabbit girl... seems like it's gonna be a long long wait...

(Blue) Suede Bag

And another try to establish a new blog... it's real sad, i'm always too lazy to keep my blogs updated and after a while they're so outdated that i don't even enjoy posting in them anymore.

FYC, this is supposed to be a fashion based blog, because it's still the one thing that interests me most in my spare time from studying, eating and studying.
So lets hope the bunny is motivated enough to jump out of her bunny hole from time to time to post some of her bunny findings on here.

Anyway, I got me a slightly too expensive but real cognac coloured suede leather bag at H&Ms last week, considering the sudden goldrush on my giro, and it's become my constant companion since then. It looks even prettier with a couple of light-flowers stuffed inside it (which is unfortunately a bit more difficult to wear on the streets - BUT I'll be searching for portable batteries anyway at some point!)
Nuff said!
